Make: Blackberry Basil Whiskey Smash
You're three short steps away from the perfect summer cocktail.
7 fresh basil leaves
1/2 Lemon (quartered)
1 TBSP Simple Syrup
2 oz Bourbon (We like Koval - Distilled in Chicago)
Muddle basil, lemon, blackberries and simple syrup together using a muddler or the end of a wooden spoon; mashing 4-5 times in a mixing glass just to release the juices and oils.
Add Bourbon. Strain and transfer to a rocks glass.
Serve over ice and garnish with a lemon peel and sprig of basil.
